Q. What is Correspondence (TCA)? top
A. A Correspondence (TCA) class is a 3 credit class which can be taken at home with the use of a textbook. Some of the courses do have supplement videos for required viewing.
Q. Is there an instructor available for questions? top
A. Yes, each class has an instructor available to answer questions and concerns.
Q. How do I get textbooks? top
A. Textbooks may be picked up at any NWTC campus bookstore. If you are not near a campus location, books can be ordered from the Green Bay campus bookstore and mailed directly to you for a small fee. You can also order textbooks online at http://mybooks.nwtc.edu.
Q. How do I get videos? top
A. Videos are available at all NWTC campus libraries and many public libraries. If the locations are not convenient for the student, we also have a mail out system which operates from the NWTC Library on the Green Bay campus (920-498-5493, 1-800-422-NWTC ext. 5493, or email@example.com). When requesting mailed videos, students should indicate their name, student ID number, the TCA course(s) they are taking, the lessons they need, and their preference for DVD or VHS (if applicable). NWTC does not charge to mail out videos, however return postage must be paid by the student.
Q. How do I get my class work? top
A. Information packets are mailed to each student registered for a class. The packet will include an information sheet, a syllabus/outline, exams and assignments, Scantron sheets for the exams, an evaluation, and return envelopes.
Q. How do I submit exams and assignments? top
A. Return envelopes are included in the packet of information each student receives once they have registered.
Q. Are there due dates for exams and assignments? top
A. A monthly due date schedule for exams and assignments is included in the information packet.
Q. How do I receive exam and assignment results? top
A. Exam and assignment results are mailed back to each student once they have been graded by the instructor.
Q. How do I register? top
A. You can register at any NWTC campus location, by phone, by Internet, by mail, or by Phone-in, or by contacting your local outreach coordinator (see locations).
