Free Tutoring for Credit Students
All credit students can request free Lab and 1:1 tutoring assistance by submitting the Tutor Request Form located on your my.NWTC student portal located under Student Services Link.
Once a learner has requested a tutor, he/she will be contacted by Tutoring Services within 2 business days. Students, please contact us at nwtc.tutoring@nwtc.edu if you have not been contacted and/or have questions. These free services can be one of the keys to doing well in your classes!
Small Group Tutoring
Most students that submit a form will be asked to begin by working in small groups with student tutors who have been successful in the class.
We offer these assistance labs for Math, Physics, Writing, Science, Nursing, Economics/Social Sciences, Accounting, Mac Graphics, CAD/REVIT, MT Hall courses, and all computer questions related to credit classes.
One-on-one Tutoring
Whenever possible, 1:1 tutoring will be provided if students continue to struggle after attending group sessions.
Program Specific Assistance Labs
NWTC will set up study groups for program specific courses. Instructors will attempt to identify a strong student in the class and groups are set up and led by these student leaders.
