Reminders about Counseling Referral - for instructors:
For Academic Referrals
If a student needs or wants a tutor, all credit students can request for free lab and 1:1 tutoring assistance by submitting the Tutor Request Form located on your my.NWTC portal. The form is located under Student Services Link. Tutoring Office is located in SC135.
For personal, behavioral or career referrals
- The more thorough the referral, the better we can assist the student
- Referrals with missing or incorrect information will be returned to instructors
(Ex: phone number - missing or incorrect)
- Use one referral per student
- Turn-around time is affected by the student's response to phone calls, messages, and subsequent follow-up
- The information in this referral will be shared among the student, the instructor, and the counselor
