Orientations are held at specific times throughout the year for students who are accepted into a NWTC program.
There are three parts to the on-campus Student Orientations:
- General NWTC information and the services available to students
- Program-specific breakout sessions with a program instructor
- Registering for classes
Most importantly at orientation sessions, you will have the opportunity to ask questions about NWTC and about your specific program.
You will also learn of ways to be more productive during your time at NWTC. Information is shared about:
- Credit for Prior Learning including credit for previous learning experiences, high school articulation, and transfer of credit from other colleges
- Finding your way around campus
- Free Math and Communication Labs
- Free Tutoring services
- Advising and Counseling services
- Financial Aid, with one-on-one assistance
- Scholarship opportunities
- Payment information
- Registration
- Your program
NWTC has an online orientation which is not a substitute for new students coming to campus. However, non-program and certificate students may find the online information helpful.
