AAUW offers $1,000 scholarships to women over 25 who are completing NWTC Associate Degrees

Do you know any female students, age 25 and over, who will complete an NWTC Associate Degree this semester?

The American Assoc of University Women called to say no one has applied for the $1,000 scholarship they have to offer. This is the first year they are including NWTC along with UWGB and St. Norbert. Each college is offered a $1,000 scholarship.

Urge students to pursue $1,000 Coca-Cola Scholarship
Deadline Monday, May 5, 2008 to be considered by NWTC

Please help us inform students of this $1,000 scholarship opportunity. To date no students have submitted nomination materials.

NWTC can nominate one student from each campus (Green Bay, Marinette and Sturgeon Bay). Final selection is made by the Coca-Cola Foundation.

Interested students must have the attached application materials turned in to the Foundation office by May 5th to be considered for nomination. COCACOLA application.DOC

Eligibility Requirements:
The success rate of our students has been high – every student nominated since inception in 2000 has received a $1,000 scholarship. The focus for selection at the Coca-Cola Foundation level is the hours of community service. All NWTC nominees have been able to document 100 or more hours of community service in the 12 months prior to application.

Please encourage eligible students to submit the attached application materials by the May 5th deadline in order to be considered for nomination.
