Exciting Growth in Grant Activity
Did you know that NWTC received $2,091,897 in grant awards during the third quarter of Fiscal Year 08? These awards will fund a wide range of growth for the College. Here are some exciting new projects that will be made possible through grant dollars:
A vehicle equipped as a mobile oral health clinic to serve uninsured and underinsured individuals throughout our district
Initiatives that will support special student populations such as English Language Learners, displaced homemakers and incarcerated individuals
Wireless networks and laptops for five primarily rural NWTC Regional Learning Centers
A certificate program in organic farming and related professional development offerings
Training in advanced manufacturing, bioindustry and biotechnology
The Grants Intranet site has undergone some growth of its own as well. To view a wealth of reference material, including timely statistical information on our district counties, check out

The Grants Leadership Team is also developing a document to help in exploring and developing grant-funded projects, but in the meantime, don’t hesitate to contact the Grants Team with potential growth opportunities. If your team would like to learn more about the grants process or discuss a particular idea, we’d be happy to meet with your area.
