NWTC instructor wins national award
Lange earns teaching honor from American Welding Society

MARINETTE - An instructor at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College has been honored for teaching excellence by the American Welding Society.

Dale Lange, Welding Instructor on NWTC’s Marinette Campus, will receive the Howard E. Adkins Instructor Membership Award. He is one of only two instructors to receive the award this year.

The Adkins Award recognizes instructors for their outstanding teaching accomplishments at the high school, trade school, technical institute and junior college levels. Of 53,000 AWS members, over 2,600 are welding educators.

Each award recipient receives a certificate, two-year membership in the American Welding Society, and free registration to attend the fall AWS Show and all technical sessions during the year in which the award is presented.

Lange earned his Technical Diploma at NWTC, and bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Stout.

Dale will be honored during the 2008 FABTECH International and AWS Welding Show, North America's largest welding, metal forming and fabricating event, to be held on October 6-8, 2008, in Las Vegas, NV.
