NWTC has partnered with Rave Wireless Inc. to provide an emergency alert system capable of delivering messages to your NWTC and personal email addresses, as well as text messages to your cell phone.
We have enrolled you in the NWTC Alert program at no additional expense to you. We encourage you to login to the Rave Wireless site to confirm your contact information and choose your notification preferences. (Note that your cell phone provider may charge a per-message fee for the delivery of emergency notification messages to your phone).
What is NWTC Alert?
The NWTC Timely Warning / Emergency Alert System, "NWTC Alert," is intended to give students faculty and staff timely notification of crimes or conditions that may represent a serious or ongoing threat to the campus community and to heighten safety awareness, in accordance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security and Campus Crime Statistics Act. "NWTC Alert" may also be used to seek information that could lead to arrest and conviction of an offender when violent crime against persons or substantial property crime has been reported.
"NWTC Alert" is a system of delivering timely warning information which operates on following message media: e-mail/text messaging through Rave Wireless, Inc.; public address system; on site television monitors; Web based postings and printed publications.
