The NWTC Art Gallery encompasses three walls in the Library (located in the Student Center building on the second floor).
Each wall has a steel cable hanging system that offers a flexible way to arrange and display the artwork using hooks that can be easily raised and lowered. The cables can be moved to group the artwork in various arrangements.
The dimensions of the hanging systems on the walls are:
East Library Wall
14 steel cables on a system that is 38 1/2 feet wide, 8 feet tall. The gallery covers the entire wall with room in front for free-standing art, easels, mannequins, pedestals, etc.
North Lab Wall
9 steel cables on a system that is 35 1/2 feet wide, 4 feet tall on the upper half of the wall. One section (13 1/2 feet wide) of the gallery would allow art to hang down to the floor (8 1/2 feet tall) and has room in front for free-standing art.
South Lab Wall
6 steel cables on a system that is 9 1/2 feet wide, 7 1/2 feet tall. The gallery covers the corner wall space with room in front for free-standing art.
