 Angela Hansen

In April, Angela Hansen, an instructor in NWTC's Supply Chain Management program, participated in a panel discussion regarding the Center for Professional Studies in Technology and Applied Research (PROSTAR) at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana.

Hansen, a graduate of the PROSTAR Weekend Master’s Degree program at Purdue, was invited back to the university by PROSTAR’s director of professional education and the program’s associate dean. During the April 13 event, Hansen talked about her experience with the Weekend Master’s Degree program and what it has meant to her career development. She and two additional panel members spoke to an audience of about 60 Purdue faculty, staff, and potential students.

I was honored and excited that I was asked to participate in this panel discussion,” said Hansen. “Going forward, I have been asked to participate on a committee as the alumni representative for Purdue/ PROSTAR by their director. The program really boosted my career and has defined my passion here at NWTC. I can now apply my instructional design methodology, learning assessment and metrics, and transfer of training/adult learning techniques that I learned from Purdue University right here at NWTC. I love it!”

Hansen has been teaching courses in supply chain management at NWTC since 2007. Before coming to NWTC, Hansen was the corporate training and development manager for the logistics division at Schneider National, Inc. Currently, she is vice president of education for the Northeast Wisconsin Chapter of the Council of Supply Chain Management and Logistics, and is a member of the Center for International Business and Research, Michigan State University; American Society for Training and Development, and the Institute for Supply Chain Management.
