Grant-funded career intro includes hands-on, job info 

(Monday, Oct. 31, 2011) GREEN BAY - Women: Have you considered a career in criminal justice?

Northeast Wisconsin Technical College will hold a FREE informational session on criminal justice careers and education. No experience is necessary. The session will be held 7:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, 2011 at the NWTC Green Bay Campus. 

Participants will receive an introduction to knowledge and skills used in criminal justice. Discussions, demonstrations and hands-on activities will be combined to help attendees better understand related careers and subjects of study. 

Topics include:

  • Introduction to Law Enforcement for Women
  • Professional Communication
  • Fingerprinting
  • Crime Scene
  • Defense and Arrest Tactics
  • Debriefing


Women who are unemployed or underemployed, and those who might enjoy problem-solving and working with people, are especially encouraged to attend. NOTE: Wear comfortable clothing. The session will be held in a classroom and a gym.
