November 10 –December 7; Student Center, Green Bay campus

(Green Bay)  Northeast Wisconsin Technical College is honoring WWII veterans with a month-long tribute starting Thursday, November 10, the day before Veterans Day.

“This is our opportunity to honor those men and women, from northeast Wisconsin, who gave so much during one of the most trying times in our history,” said Dan Goron, NWTC veterans counselor. “Winston Churchill said it best, ‘Never have so many owed so much to so few.’”

All events will be held in the Student Center on the Green Bay campus. Events are free and open to the public.

  • WWII artifacts display – over 75 military uniforms, flags, and other pieces of memorabilia will be included in the exhibit. November 10 –December 7, Commons.

  • Collection for Honor Flights – the NWTC Veterans Club will collect monetary donations for Honor Flights which allow WWII veterans to fly free to Washington to visit WWII monuments and Arlington Cemetery. November 10, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Commons.

November 10, 30, and December 7, continuous play throughout each day, Commons. (This DVD will be available for sale in the NWTC Spirit Store with the proceeds going to the NWTC Veterans Scholarship Fund. Students in the NWTC Digital Media Technology program produced the video.
