Phi Theta Kappa gives free lessons to community members in 'anything computer tech related'
This weekend Phi Theta Kappa and the downtown Brown County Library will hold a Tech Savvy Tutoring Day for community members who need assistance with anything computer tech related.
The Tech Savvy Computer Education Event will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Satruday, January 18. Officers and members of the Phi Theta Kappa honor society will answer questions about computers and the internet for people who are new users and those who want to get the most out of their computer. Library staff will also be on hand to teach users how to download free library ebooks to a Kindle, iPad, Sony eReader, Nook or Android-powered tablet.
Visitors are welcome to bring their own devices, although the group will have computers on-site on which "customers" can practice. There is free parking in downtown Green Bay on weekends.
