students and the public can get an in-depth look at Northeast Wisconsin
Technical College’s Woodland Regional Technical Academy during an open house
Tuesday, March 11 from 5 – 8 p.m. The Woodland Regional Technical Academy is
located within Hillcrest School in the Town of Aurora. Attendees can enter
through the main doors.
During the open house, students, parents and the general
public can meet with instructors and staff, tour the school’s labs, learn about
careers in Engineering Technology and the healthcare industry, and participate
in hands-on demonstrations.
The general public is invited to tour the Academy from 5
– 6 p.m. From 6 - 8 p.m., group tours
will be offered for prospective students and their parents. Individual tours will also be available.
Refreshments will be provided.
The Woodland Regional Technical Academy is a
collaborative partnership between NWTC and the school districts of Florence,
Goodman and Niagara. High school juniors and seniors that attend can take NWTC
courses and earn dual credit – which are credits that can be applied to high
school and college.
"The Woodland Regional Technical Academy provides
students with an excellent opportunity to get a jump start on their college
career. The updated facility is a wonderful space for learning, and we’re
excited to open our doors to welcome the community and students," said Sally
Miller, the manager of NWTC's North Regional Learning Center.
