 NWTC graduates over 1,800 with degrees, diplomas, certificates

More than 1,800 students will graduate from Northeast Wisconsin Technical College this week.

NWTC's main May 2014 Commencement Exercises will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, May 9 at the Resch Center.

Graduation speakers

Commencement Address: Mitch Weckop, CEO of Skyline Technologies

District Ambassador Address: Jennifer Ross, 2014 NWTC District Ambassador

Student Senate Commendation: Annelise Moen, President, Student Senate

Alumni Association Invitation: Blake Titus, President, NWTC Alumni Association

Keynote speaker Mitch Weckop joined Skyline Technologies in 2010 as chief executive officer. He is an experienced senior business leader in multiple industries. Prior to joining Skyline, Weckop was senior vice president and general manager at Schneider Logistics, senior vice president of customer service at Schneider National, vice president and general manager at Paper Converting Machine Company, and supply chain leader at Procter and Gamble.

Jennifer Ross, District Ambassador, is in the Supply Chain Management associate degree program and is the Secretary of the Supply Chain Management club. Ross, and involved in the NWTC Student Veterans of America club. Ross is a nine-year member of the Army National Guard and has been active in NWTC's chapter of Student Veterans of America. The District Ambassador Program recognizes and rewards outstanding students in the Wisconsin Technical College System. Graduates from all campuses may march in the Green Bay commencement ceremonies. May graduation includes candidates who are expected to complete their studies between Jan. 1 and June 30, 2014. Reporters are welcome to attend the event.
