Cash up for grabs at financial wellness event April 10

 Rodee Schneider

Audience members can win handfuls of cash - and learn ways to save some of their own – when the Big Money show with Patrick McGarrity comes to Northeast Wisconsin Technical College’s Green Bay campus for two presentations April 10. A NWTC student-only show will be held from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., and the general public is invited from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. Both shows are held in SC128. A free lunch will be provided for students at 11:30 a.m.

Part game show, part financial literacy lecture, Big Money invites the audience to learn important tips and insights to make smart financial decisions. The hour culminates with select attendees entering the “Big Money Machine,” where they can grab handfuls of cash from within a wind tunnel. Approximately $500 will be awarded during the two shows.

Other topics covered during Big Money include ways to maintain your credit score, credit card dos and don'ts, financial planning, and banking basics.

Since 1998, the Big Money show has been seen at over 300 venues nationwide. At NWTC, the event is presented by the college's Financial Wellness Center.
