Youth Programs 

Get a taste of college, try new careers or earn college credits in high school! We welcome K-12 students, school groups and teachers.

Just for Middle and High School

NWTC has many programs, services and events that are a great way for young students to explore their interests and find out how to get started.  Also, guidance counselors and teachers can get all the latest information about NWTC.

Youth Apprenticeship Program

Youth Apprenticeship is a two-year program for high school juniors and seniors students combining classroom instruction and paid on-the-job training.  Students gain a set of skills and abilities by learning in the classroom and work setting. 

NWTC High School Credit Transfer

High school credit transfer allows high school students to acquire credit for prior learning through agreements between their high school and NWTC.

Youth Options

This program allows qualified high school juniors and seniors to take post-secondary (college-level) classes at NWTC. It is beneficial for students who:

 

  • Are considering a technical career.
  • Wish to begin college early.
  • Want to prepare to enter the workforce immediately after high school graduation.
