Student Mentors

We are currently accepting applications for our Student Mentor Program for the 2010 - 2011 school year.

A student mentor is both a friend and a role model who supports and encourages an international student in his/her academic and personal growth. The mentor is also a guide who helps the international student make the difficult transition from their home country to becoming a student at NWTC.

Student mentors and their mentee develop their relationships as they participate together in social, cultural, and recreational activities, community service projects, tutoring, or any of the many different activities that friends enjoy. Whatever the activity, mentoring provides guidance and support which enhances the college experience for both mentor and mentee.

 Enrich Your Experience at NWTC

  • Become an ambassador of NWTC by partnering up with a fellow international student.
  • Expand your knowledge of other cultures.
  • Learn the basics of a new language, while helping an international student with their English skills.
