Description of program:

The program prepares students for employment designing and installing solar electric and solar thermal systems.

Solar Energy Technology Students, along with Energy Management and Utility Engineering students, take a first-year curriculum in basic electro-mechanical principles that includes electricity, fluids, digital, and automation along with requirement of physics and math.

In the second year, Solar Energy Technology students learn the fundamentals of energy management and energy efficiency and to design, install, and develop a thorough understanding of photovoltaics (PV) and domestic hot water (DHW) systems.
