 Emergency Dispatch

Course Information:

Our new three-credit course outlines the basic fundamentals of emergency dispatching. Students will become familiar with the roles and responsibilities of the emergency telecommunicator including:

  • Technology supporting dispatching

  • Call management and classification

  • Legal aspects to public safety communication

Upon successful completion of the course and exam, the student will be certified by the International Academies of Emergency Dispatching; a certification recognized throughout the United States. Students will receive a letter of completion, diploma, membership card and a subscription to the Journal of Emergency Dispatch.
