 Motorcycle Classes

course information:

Basic RiderCourse(BRC)
The BRC is designed for beginning riders. Approximately five hours of classroom instruction and 10 hours of riding exercises in a controlled environment provide a complete introduction to motorcycling. Motorcycles and helmets are provided for your use during the course. Prerequisite: students must be able to ride a bicycle.

*Classes are offered in Green Bay and Sturgeon Bay.  Please make sure to view all class offerings below as they are separated by location.

Experienced RiderCourse(ERC)
This course is no longer offered and will be replaced with an Advanced RiderCourse to be offered in 2013.

NOTES:

  • A motorcycle temporary permit from the Department of Transportation is not required to enroll in or attend the Motorcycle Rider Course. Individuals under 18 years of age or individuals attempting to renew their temporary permit for the third time will need verification of enrollment to present to the Department of Transportation in order to obtain their temporary permit. The MV3575 Motorcycle Skills Test Waiver Authorization is the required document and is available, after enrollment and payment is made, by calling 920-498-5526 or 1-800-422-6982, ext. 5526.
  • Due to the course requirements and high demand for these motorcycle classes, it is imperative that learners show up on time. Please be advised that if a student fails to show up on time, their spot may be immediately forfeited to a stand-by student.
  • Full attendance is mandatory, which is not only a NWTC requirement, but a State of Wisconsin and National Motorcycle Safety Foundation requirement as well.
  • If the student does not drop before the start date of class, they will be responsible for full payment of the class fee. The cooperation of the student is important in maintaining the integrity and quality of our motorcycle program.
