By January 1, 2012, providers of advanced clinical imaging services (including echocardiography, CT, MRI, PET, nuclear medicine) are required to be accredited in order to receive Medicare reimbursement for the technical component of imaging services. (Medicare Improvements for Patients and Providers Act of 2008)
Get prepared for accreditation with NWTC's new Echocardiography certificate. All of the courses in this 18-credit program are delivered online with some on-campus lab sessions the first semester. A clinical internship completes the program. Students are required to have employer sponsors.
