About Nursing at NWTC
NWTC's two-year Associate Degree in Nursing is one of the most sought-after and demanding credentials in the College. Entrance requirements are high. Courses are rigorous. The material to master is considerable.
But, for those who believe nursing is their best way to make a difference in the lives of patients, the rewards are worth it.
Why choose the ADN program at NWTC?
Quality--NWTC ADN students take the same state and national board exams that students in four-year colleges and universities do, and NWTC students generally score higher than their peers.
Success--NWTC students are more likely to pass state and national board exams than students in other nursing programs.
Resources--NWTC's nursing students use industry-standard equipment and state-of-the-art technology like the Human Patient Simulators.
Expertise--In-class instruction, extensive training at area hospitals and clinics, and service opportunities like work at the N.E.W. Clinic at NWTC all provide hands-on patient care experience that helps make NWTC graduates effective on the job.
Flexibility--Choose either full-time or part-time, or choose a convenient location--campuses in Green Bay, Marinette and Sturgeon Bay, and the West Regional Learning Center Shawano.
Opportunities--Graduates of NWTC's ADN program get two years of credit toward a BSN from UW-Green Bay, Bellin School of Nursing and other colleges. Graduates can earn a living as a nurse while completing their second degree.
