Awards Banquet

This banquet is held in the spring to recognize the following:

• Students for their outstanding efforts in achieving scholastic excellence and overall classroom participation.
• Students achieving excellence for active student organization/club participation.
• Students who have won state and/or national competitive events for the national clubs on campus.
• Each year one student is chosen from among the top students to represent NWTC and the Wisconsin Technical College System at community functions. The named student will be NWTC's District Ambassador for the following year and is chosen through a series of personal interviews with the NWTC In-House Selection Committee and the Alumni Association Finalist Selection Committee.

The 2008-2009 Academic Awards Banquet will be held Tuesday, April 21, at the Rock Garden Super Club at 5 pm..

Blood Drive

The American Red Cross makes two visits to the Green Bay campus per year. Students and staff of the College can meet some of their civic responsibility by donating blood. See calendar for dates.

Discount Marcus Movie Tickets

Discount Marcus Movie Passes can be purchased in the Student Life Office, SC118

• Discount Marcus Movie Passes cost $6.50 each (no restrictions on movie passes)
• With every 2 movie passes you purchase, you receive 1 free popcorn
• Students/Staff can purchase up to six tickets at a time

Graduation

Mid year Commencement:

• Friday, December 12 at 6:00pm at the KI Convention Center
• Students graduating must arrive at the KI Center at 5:00pm dressed in cap & gown

May Graduation

• Wednesday, May 20 at 6:00pm at the Resch Center
• Students graduating must arrive at the Resch Center at 5:00pm dressed in cap & gown

Housing

Students at NWTC make their own off-campus housing arrangements. NWTC keeps a list of private housing units which are called into the College. Vacancies included in NWTC’s housing list are not affiliated with NWTC, not endorsed by NWTC, and not exclusive to NWTC students. Each property is the sole responsibility of its private-sector owner(s) and is regulated by local units of government. Housing Information

Lockers

• Lockers can be rented in the Student Life Office, SC118
• Locker rental is $10 per semester
• Student should look to see what building/level they would like their locker located
• Locker must be cleaned out at end of each semester unless have locker rented for academic year.

Lost & Found

Lost items can be dropped off or picked up in the Student Life Office, SC118.

Items will be kept in lost and found for limited time if not claimed.

Student Photo ID's

• Student Photo ID's are available in the Student Life Office, SC118
• Student ID's are available Monday-Thursday: 8 am-7 pm & Friday: 8 am-5 pm
• Student Photo ID's are available to all students currently enrolled in a class (credit or non-credit) for NO CHARGE
• The Student Photo ID card is good for 1 academic year from date received or until no longer an active NWTC student

Wellness Student Photo ID

• One time $5 charge for NWTC students who are currently enrolled in a class (credit or non-credit) for access to the Wellness Center/Gym/Walking Track/cardio machines/Locker Rooms (replacement card can be purchased for $5 if lost or stolen)
• The Wellness Student Photo ID card is good for 1 academic year from date received or until no longer an active NWTC student

Clinical Name Badge

• Clinical Name Badge is a one time $5 charge. (can be replaced for $5 if lost or stolen)
• Must have permission from instructor to get clinical name badge

Wellness Center

Hours

• Monday ~ Thursday: 6:30 am – 9:30 pm
• Friday: 6:30 am – 6 pm
• Saturday: 8 am – 1 pm

The gym will be closed when there are classes and/or intramural leagues scheduled. Hours may change during holiday/summer breaks

Wellness Center/Gym/Walking Track are open to:

• NWTC students who are currently enrolled and have purchased a Student ID/Wellness card
• Current NWTC staff who have their current name badge/access card
• No children, family members, or friends are allowed in the Wellness Center/Gym/Walking Track

Locker Rooms are located in the Gym for the Wellness Center / Gym / Walking Track

• Both the men’s and women’s locker rooms have lockers, bathrooms and showers
• These locker rooms can only be accessed if you have a Wellness ID access card
• Lockers are 25 cents for daily use or free if you bring your own lock. Lockers must be cleaned out daily.
