GED®/HSED
Who is eligible for the GED® or HSED program? To receive
a GED® Certificate or High School Equivalency Diploma, you
must:
- Be 18 years and 6 months of age or
- Your ninth (9th) grade class must have graduated
from high school
CAREER PLANNING/CAREER DECISION MAKING
The Multicultural International Resource Center will
assist students in career decision making by utilizing various
career assessments. The Careers Center is well stocked
with computers, software, videos and laser discs to provide
individuals access to current career and education information

PROGRAM ENTRY/ADMISSIONS ASSISTANCE
The Minority Affairs Counselor together with the student
will evaluate test results to determine program readiness
and develop a personalized learning plan. How to apply? When
to apply? What program should I submit my application? We can help you get the answers to these questions.
CONTINUING SERVICE
The Multicultural International Resource Center's primary
purpose is to help students achieve their goal. We provide:
- Computers to work on projects
- Peer mentoring to help make the adjustment to college
- Tutoring to strengthen and improve comprehension
- Resume writing tips
- Employment services to enter the world of work

The Multicultural International Resource Center is located
in room SC139. The purpose is to provide
support services to African American, American Indian, Hispanic,
and Asian students that are essential for students
to achieve their educational goals. The following services
are provided:
- Assistance with the admissions process
- General counseling and advising
- Financial aid application assistance
- Cultural and social activities
- Referral Center
- Sponsor the Multicultural Student Alliance (MSA) and
the Native American Student Association (NASA), NHASA, AASA (Asian American), NWTC Hispanic American Student Association
- Recruitment
- ESL placement and occupational programs
Clases de Ingles GRATIS
NWTC ofrece clases para aprender ingles (ESL) por la mañana de 8am a 2pm y por las tardes de 5:30pm a 8:00pm. También en el Job Center de 1 – 3pm.

Programas ocupacionales: ¡Estudie mas, gane mas! Hay varias oportunidades de estudiar una carrera corta sin dejar de trabajar durante la semana y a la vez continúa mejorando el idioma de ingles. Las clases son limitadas a 16 personas. Estudie solo los sábados con un maestro bilingëe o traductor y obtenga un Certificado en:
- Cuidado de Niños
- Soldadura
- Construcción de casas
- Nivel Principiante en Computadoras
- GED® – Diploma de Preparatoria o Secundaria en Español o Ingles
NWTC offers free ESL classes from 8am to 2pm and 5:30pm to 8pm PLUS at the Job Center from 1pm to 3pm.

Occupational Programs: Learn more, earn more! There is opportunity to study short careers on Saturdays while working and continuing to improve the English language. Classes are limited to 16 people. Certificates include a bilingual teacher or translator in the class:
- Childcare
- Welding
- Home Construction
- Entry Level Computer skills
- GED® – offered in Spanish or English
