| The mission of the NWTC Alumni Association is to
support NWTC students, staff, and Foundation by enhancing
the image and visibility of the College and maintaining student
scholarships.
By becoming a member of the NWTC Alumni Association,
you can help Northeast Wisconsin Technical College students
get the education and training that they need to advance their
careers, enhance their quality of life, and develop their
roles as vital community members.
The Alumni Association promotes and provides scholarships
to individuals who need financial support to fulfill their
educational goals. Those individuals, in turn, will play an
important part in the economy after completing their programs
at NWTC. Within six months of graduation, 95.5% of NWTC graduates
have jobs.

Alumni Association members who'd like
to work on special projects have the opportunity to serve
on one of these committees:
- Awards Committee - chooses some of NWTC's
most notable alumni for public recognition, including:
Distinguished
Alumni, scholarship winners, and District
Ambassadors.
- Focus Committee - works with public relations
and strategic planning, and acts as a resource for students,
faculty, and staff.
- Membership Committee - lets alumni know
about membership benefits, coordinates elections, and
helps potential Alumni Board members get involved.
- Fundraising Committee - assists with special events
and fund raisers to raise money for scholarships. Our current
projects are the Craft Fair and the Love Lights Tree Tribute.
Graduates and members of the public are welcome to attend
the many special events at NWTC. Concerts, roundtable discussions,
and informational activities can provide a good excuse to
wander the halls again and get together with old friends!
Many instructors are glad to have alumni speak to classes
about current industry trends and the workplace. If this interests
you, please send a note to the NWTC
Public Relations department and we will forward it to
an appropriate instructor. Please include your name, graduation
year, program in which you have a degree and a summary of
what you would like to share with current students.
Thinking about changing jobs? Alumni can use
NWTC's Employment Services to
find employers looking for experienced, skilled staff. It's
easy - notices of job openings in your field will be mailed
to your home! Graduates are also welcome to attend our yearly
Job Fair and meet with employers who have job openings in
technical fields.
NWTC graduates are always welcome to return
to campus! |
