COUNSELORS
Our Special Needs Counselors work with students enrolled
through the Special Needs Office to ensure they have access
to all of NWTC's programs, services and personnel. Documentation
of an individual's disability (Psychological Evaluations,
Multidisciplinary Team Reports, and Individualized Education
Plans or Medical Records) need to be presented to the Counselor
during an Intake Interview to assess the need(s) of the individual.
Our Counselors will review the status of the student's program
preparation, advise on credit load and class selection and
create a personal learning plan with the student. Any requests
for support services need to be coordinated through our Counselors
to ensure the student is accommodated in the best way possible.
INTERPRETERS

people who are deaf or hard of hearing. Requests for interpreter
services should be coordinated through the Lead
Interpreter. Services include: Interpreting, Transliterating,
Note taking, Tutoring, Captioned videotapes, FM System &
