Clusters, Pathways, and Programs of Study

Most of the high schools in NWTC’s Tech Prep District have adopted the national 16-Career Cluster model for career planning.  Students are able to explore careers in a variety of pathways depending on the local economy in their school district.  Many schools have pathways in manufacturing and healthcare.

What does this mean for your students?

  1. Career Pathways help students meet high school graduation requirements.
  2. Carer pathways help students know if they need education beyond high school and what kind of education they should get.
  3. Career pathways help students understand and prepare for entry into the work world.
  4. Career pathways keep students interested in what they are learning in school.

NWTC has listed the technical diplomas, certificates, and associate degrees available in the following pathways:

Manufacturing

Science, Technology, Engineering and Math

Law, Public Safety, Corrections and Security

Business Management and Administration
