NOTE: Students should be aware that a previous criminal record will limit their opportunity to gain successful entry-level employment.

Criminal Justice - Law Enforcement - Program Number - 10-504-1

NOTE: A Department of Justice, Law Enforcement Standards Board directive requires that a successful, negative drug test be completed prior to the first enrollment in any of the series of courses necessary for Law Enforcement Officer Certification. Those courses are: 1) Tactical I (10-504-173), which includes Firearms and Defense & Arrest Tactics Training, 2) Tactical II (10-504-174), which includes EVOC and scenarios, 3) Emergency Response (10-531-101), and 4) Oleoresin Capsicum (OC) Training (47-504-462).

CRIMINAL JUSTICE STUDENTS SEEKING CERTIFIABILITY must submit to an interview with representatives of the Public safety division before graduating. To prepare for the interview, follow the interviewing guidelines offered in the Job Search & Networking Skills Course, available free of charge.
