A graduate of the program will have the potential for employment
as a Fire Protection Systems Designer, Fire Protection Equipment
Sales Representative, Fire Protection Systems Installer, and Industrial
Safety Technician in the areas of automatic fire sprinklers, special
hazards and fire alarm systems.
FIRE
PROTECTION SYSTEMS DESIGNER: prepares designs and layout drawings
of new detection and suppression systems for commercial, residential,
and industrial applications.
FIRE
PROTECTION EQUIPMENT SALES REPRESENTATIVE: merchandises fixed and
portable fire protection equipment for commercial, industrial, and
residential applications.
FIRE
PROTECTION SYSTEMS INSTALLER: interprets the protection system design
for on-site installation, operation, and maintenance of fire protection
systems.
INDUSTRIAL
SAFETY TECHNICIAN: assists the industrial safety manager in plant
fire safety programs and procedures; and insures compliance with
federal, state, and municipal codes and ordinances.
With
additional education and/or work experience, graduates may find
other opportunities for employment.
