  • determine the number of circuits required for general lighting and small appliances.
  • identify the materials used for overhead and underground services in a residential dwelling and recognize the methods of installation as per the NEC requirements.
  • install a multi wire branch circuit, connect to outlets and distribution panel as per the NEC.
  • install a small appliance branch circuit for a residential dwelling.
  • install a multi outlet assembly as per the NEC.
  • install lighting and branch circuits used for dining area, porches, garage, storage area, attics, and utility room.
  • install special purpose outlets for an electric clothes dryer, electric range, hot water heater, air conditioner, central heating and cooling unit, garbage disposal and dishwasher.
  • install outlets for TV, telephone and signal systems.
  • install branch circuits for electric baseboard heating.
