- Explain
the purpose of motor starters and properly install
as per NEC requirements.
- Select,
install and protect a control transformer
- Explain
the operation of and install pilot devices.
- Explain
the operation of and install sensing devices.
- Explain
the proper methods and install a motor branch circuit
as per NEC requirements.
- Determine
the size of branch circuit conductors, feeder conductors,
overcurrent devices, overloads and conduit size for motor
circuits.
- Convert
basic relay logic to programmable control logic and install
according to diagram.
- Understand,
recognize and select overcurrent protection for branch
circuits.
