ABC Construction Electrician Apprenticeship

| In recent years,
there have been constant changes and expansions in electrical
science. More than in any other building trade, these technological
changes require increased knowledge and ability for construction
electricians in order to meet the demands of change.
A construction electrician: lays out, assembles, installs
and tests electrical fixtures, control equipment and wiring
used in the alarm, communication, light and power systems. |

QUALIFICATIONS FOR APPRENTICESHIP:
Education: High school graduates or GED® (submit copy)
Math: One year of high school Algebra, with a grade of C or
better (high school Algebra or Algebra are available through
the NWTC Skills Center)
Age: 18 or high school graduate at 17, no maximum
Test: GATB (general Aptitude Test Battery) taken at local
Job Service Office
License: Valid driver's license (submit copy)
Other: Birth Certificate (submit copy) |
| LENGTH OF CONTRACT - 5 years of not less than
8,000 hours
OJT (on-the-job-training) - 8,000 hours of work with a skilled
craftsperson as per Exhibit "A"
Paid-Related Instruction (Day School) - 720 hours and successful
completion of curriculum
Unpaid-Related Instruction (Night School) - 200 hours (Required:
First Aid, CPR, OSHA, NEC) |
HOW TO APPLY

as stated above.
If qualified, a letter of introduction will be sent, and a
meeting with the Committee will be scheduled. |
