General Education Classes
- Provide work-oriented learning in communication, mathematics, natural science, and social science.
- Are designed to help learners:
- Succeed in college, on the job, and in daily living.
- State and solve technical problems.
- Communicate clearly and interact within society.
- Are required in all associate degree and most technical diploma programs.
- Can often be transferred to four-year colleges and universities and to other Wisconsin Technical Colleges.
- Are offered throughout the District.
Before taking General Education Classes, students should meet with an NWTC counselor to discuss entrance requirements.
Financial Aid Requirement
General Education classes are not eligible for financial aid unless taken with an associate degree, technical diploma program, or enrolled in the General Studies Transfer Certificate.
